“La Maestranza”

Ney Melo has excelled in his 15+ year tango career by teaching workshops around the world to large groups of dancers but for his school “Brooklyn Tango” he has taken a different approach: working with a small group (8-10 max) on Tuesday nights on the parlor floor of a historic brownstone built in 1901. (Yes, the dancefloor is as old as tango itself!) Technique, musicality, and steps are all covered and, many times, these classes are simple ideas that Ney is workshopping for classes to be taught at Tango Festivals. Everyone learning from each other, he has named it “La Maestranza”.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available from Noon until 9 PM every day.
